Level 1: Rëzo Cut + Rëzo Lites Certification

Level 1 | Rëzo Certification

Discover the techniques behind the Rëzo method and learn a different approach to cutting and working with curly hair. This course introduces the principles of creating body, balance, and shape across all curl patterns, with an emphasis on building volume, blending textures, and creating versatile cuts that maintain their shape even when the hair is blown out.

Over two days, you'll develop a strong foundation in the Rëzo cutting and highlighting methods, gaining the knowledge and hands-on experience to bring these techniques into your work behind the chair.

Completion of Level 1 is required before advancing to Level 2, where you'll build on these fundamentals with more specialized cutting techniques.

Day One | Rëzo Cut

Learn the theory and techniques behind the signature Rëzo Cut, including the Rëzo Rose Technique® and its approach to cutting curly and textured hair using circular motions. You'll learn how to build volume from the bottom up, seamlessly blend different textures, and create the body, balance, and shape that define the Rëzo method.

Day Two | Rëzo Lites

Explore the Rëzo Lites method and learn how to safely create seamless, dimensional highlights on curly and textured hair. You'll be introduced to techniques for creating ribbons of color that complement the hair's natural texture. The day also includes hands-on product education and a demonstration of styling and diffusing techniques.

Throughout the course, you'll also have the opportunity to connect, exchange ideas, and build relationships with fellow stylists in your local Rëzo community.

Required Class Supplies

Students are responsible for bringing the following supplies:

• Freestanding mannequin head tripod

• Shears

• 8–10 alligator clips

• Detangling brush

• Highlighting comb or tail comb

• Color brushes and bowls

• Plastic gloves

• Spray bottle

• Towel

• Blow dryer

• Diffuser
